Monday, November 11th is our annual Thanksgiving meal service project where we feed all local veterans and senior citizens a Thanksgiving feast. Attached is the dessert/salad list for 7-12 students. Thank you everyone for helping make this day a success!

The study skills class has been reading The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. Today our students practiced doing a small act of kindness by painting a soccer field for the lower elementary. They are hoping to do more things throughout the year to practice what they have learned throughout the book!!

Pizza orders are due by Tuesday, Oct. 15 for the band's next pizza luncheon (to be held on Oct. 24.). Forms have been given to all students grades k-12 and staff.
The elementary PE students used delayed video last week to analyze their own throwing form. They were able to observe and adjust their throwing form to help themselves be more successful at the overhead throw!

Agriculture Education students spent Thursday afternoon planting trees at the high school and lower elementary. Arthur County Schools received five trees thanks to the Ten Free Trees program, an effort of the Nebraska Forest Service, and the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum. Prior to planting, students assessed planting location's and decisions were made based on practicality and sustainability. Students activated skills to cut and transplant sod, prepare proper depth and circumference of the planting basin, and directional root placement of newly planted trees.
