Congratulations to our FFA members who represented the Arthur County chapter at the District IV Leadership Development Events! Qualifying for State: Kirsten Allen - 2nd in Agriculture Literacy Public Speaking. Tristyn Meeks - 1st in Creed Speaking Elivia Vinton - 3rd in Creed speaking Ryan Eilers - 1st in Cooperative Speaking Parliamentary Procedure team members Kaylee Wilson, Kihl Delatour, Hailey Dam, Kody Carpenter, Ryan Eilers, and Ella Dam received 5th place in their debut performance. Junior high members Buck Wilson, Braden Wilson, Lucy Wenzel, Cayden Goodman, Barrett Cleland, and Kirsten Allen experienced their 1st LDEs competing in the quiz bowl rounds.

If you missed the first day or need retakes, school picture retake day is this Thursday! JH and HS Basketball pictures will also be taken on Thursday!

Arthur's 6th grade class learned about penguins in a virtual field trip held with Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha. The virtual field trip was sponsored by a John Russell Applegate grant.

The choir traveled to MNAC Choir Clinic at McPherson County. They spent the day singing and creating beautiful music with other students in the conference. A surprise visitor at the concert made the day even better!

Landry Swanson was selected as an alternate for the 8th Grade All-State Band, which is put on each year by the Nebraska Bandmasters Association. Landry, who just switched from alto sax to bari sax in August, put in a lot of work in preparation for this audition. In the event that another student is unable to attend, Landry will be at the ready. Selection to this All-State ensemble is a tremendous accomplishment, and we are so proud of Landry!

A couple of weeks ago, a few members from the FFA Chapter had the opportunity to attend Connecting Chapters. They had lots of fun and learned new activities to do with the elementary kids!

Hot lunch alert: The band will be serving up hamburgers or cheeseburgers with chips and beans on Monday, October 26th. JH/HS only.

Arthur will play Silver Lake (at Bladen) for the first round of the D6 Football Playoffs! Kickoff is set for 4:00 mt / 5:00 ct. #GoWolves #JointhePack

The band is grilling burgers and hotdogs for lunch. Concession stand opens at noon before the game.

Arthur County Schools will dismiss at 12:00 on Thursday, October 16th. Buses will run accordingly.

The Arthur County Livestock Judgers had a pretty successful day yesterday in Valentine!

Junior High Division:
Evan, Buck, and Rave received white ribbons.
Lucy and Kirsten received red ribbons.
Braden was the District Champion Junior High Livestock Judger!

Junior Division:
Carter received a red.

Senior Division:
Kacey received a white.
Emitt received a red.
